Manticore ML 105 vs Killer B Wireless

The one thing that I do not like about the 105's is that setting the volume for the tones can make pinpoint mode headache-producing, obnoxiously loud. This doesn't happen with the KB wireless - same with the Thresher headphones. Anyone else experience this with the 105's?

Would an external speaker be useful for hearing the tones?

Maybe - not being pumped directly into the ears would mitigate it somewhat, I assume. I rarely, if ever, detect w/o headphones, though.

I'm thinking if the volume is way up then the ears will not be over drowned out for the weaker tones. The best is an easy setup switching from external speaker to headphones depending on the targets.
