Long story short I was hiking in Illinois a few years back in hopes of reaching a collection of waterfalls. I was distraught when we made it to find out that we decided to hike there in the dry season, yet excited to poke around the once submerged area. The only camera I had on me was a cheap disposable, but I developed and save the pics so keep in mind that these are a picture taken by my cellphone of a tangible hold it in your hand photo. I’ve been on this sight for years, and didn’t realize the signs and symbols forum existed, but have been scouring it for at least 2 hours straight. I saw several posts in different parts of the country with these exact symbols carved into stone. I can’t help but wonder who carved this and when they carved it, and especially WHY?! Any info would be appreciated!
