Decided to run down and take in this annual homage to NOLA in Breckenridge but afterwards it was like, what was I thinking? The entire shebang lasted 15 minutes and the crowd enjoyed it but you heard "Is that it?" all up and down the street. I wonder how much the town spent on closin off the street, hirin extra security, (not needed), pullin police officers off regular duty for a 15 minute spectacle? Southern things are best left to the South to do. It was interesting, but I would have done way more better stayin home with a six pack listenin to my Clifton Chenier records.

lol, yeah, dont quite look like the crews you see down south for sure. But I do thank you for sharing it!

That sure brings back an ol' jingle to mind

Nice photographs! Thanks for sharing...

15 minutes sounds like it was just set up for locals, to look out their windows & say ooooh ! :laughing7:

Cool pics though

& to be honest even New Orleans looked pretty Dead on the Vids last night.

I guess the upper 30's & Rain didn't go over so well.

even the clean up crews will have it easy this morning.
Seems to me last year you couldn't walk without walking on trash

Thanks Tamrock. That jingle got stuck in my head yesterday evenin but I finally replaced it with 'see the USA in your Chevrolet'. Now it's back. They did throw beads to the crowd but I guess I was expectin more drunken debauchery. Difficult to debauch properly with temps in the teens and intermittent snow showers I suppose.
