Looking at water from bromeliads is interesting.
I have this fast moving, 8 legged, marine tick-looking creature.
It may be a coral gall crab, but there's no coral in sight!
Maybe an underwater spider? 8 legs...
What do you think?
Thank you for taking the time!
Any one know of an appropriate site to identify these tiny marine creatures?

Got it!
This little swimming critter is a water mite.
Thought you 'might' want to know!

Yep. Your critter is a water mite. They eat midge and mosquito eggs and larvae and are "friendly" insects.

There are dozens of species and they are a bioindicator genus of water quality. More species present = better water quality (for "wild" water like lakes and rivers).
