Welcome to TNET San. Looks like a very nice bell. I can't answer your question but there will be others who have more experience that can probably narrow it down for you. I like the 1841 on it, which if this is not some replica would make it 177 years old. Wish I could look so good.

1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard San! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

2nd - I moved ya from TODAY'S FINDS! over to WHAT IS IT? for more exposure.

Considering where you bought the piece, I'd say that it's a farm bell as opposed to a ship's bell. :icon_scratch:
These are the only clues to the bells origin... unfortunately I don't think it has much age to it.

I'm not a bell expert, but if pressed for a date of manufacture, I'd say that your bell was made in the 1960s or 70s.

Not a boater here, but I always thought that a ship's bell would have the name of the ship on it?

Either way, nice find.
Would make a great dinner bell. :)
Come and get it!

I bought it along with an old large anchor and assumed they were from the Vancouver area. I’ve never seen a farm bell. Especially anything like this, and I’ve been on a lot of farms!
