Southeast Iowa is blessed with an area called the Cone Marsh (near Conesville). Today I went to several access points to detect. Here’s 2 shots: the first is of a sandhill crane. 2 smaller cranes crossed the access in front of me. This one came out and acted hurt to lure me away. Dragging wings with head hung. Same trick you see killdeers do. The other photo is a boat ramp. It was loaded with bullfrogs, but they took off when I got close.
