Maria came along and we camped in Penitente Canyon last night. Good weather and not as hot, but thunderstorms and rain in the afternoon. Nice sunrise over the valley yesterday. Hiked around in Witches Canyon and wandered down the valley towards Del Norte, where masks are required.

Neat area for sure and one that I believe be a good place to stash a treasure in around all those weathered granite formations.

I'm always thinkin about that TR, but I can't think of any good reason they would need to. Still, I look for rocks out of place. You know down in Clayton NM that park ranger was tellin me about a guy who found a leather bag full of flint blades stashed in the rocks, so that's another treasure I keep my eyes open for.

I envy that nice weather. Hotter than blazes here. My brother in law can't take the heat. He and his wife go to CO for the summer. Highs in the 70's where he is. Gary
