I found three mason hammers near an old spring fed rock built structure. They look like they would have wedged the hammer in to a tapered hole that was in a handle. Then a nut on the other end would thread on and tighten it to the handle. Any information on these would be greatly appreciated.

Sure is small, even for a chipping hammer. Only 1 of them looks "threaded".
Are they true threads or just rings?

I was a stone cutter "headstone cutter by trade" all my life, unless this is an anomoly, all stone cutting hammers have always been, and still are secured by a wooden handle secured by steel or iron wedges driven in to the top of the handle, when placed into the hammer head. I think this is some sort of hammer, but highly unlikely for stone unless it is very soft as the threads would not withstand the impact against stone long.
