I found an old zinc mason jar lid with the milk glass insert while walking around a possible wooded dump site the other day. I know they say Boyd's patent or white crown or for ball on them, but the side I see has no writing. Would the other side have writing? The reason I ask is because I want to show a friend who was exploring with me and remove it from the zinc lid, but I don't want to destroy the lid if there is no writing on the other side. Thank you for any opinions! (Also on how to safely remove the insert without damage)
