Can anyone tell me anything about this sword? I have no background information on it to offer other than my husband bought it many years ago. I would a appreciate any comments.

I think you are right. It looks like a Masonic sword to me. I have no idea of age or value however.

Yes, its masonic. When a member reaches the "Order of the Knights Templar" degree in the York Rite they are presented with a sword.

It should have the person's name engraved in it.

It's a Masonic sword, most likely made in Cincinnati, Ohio. My Great-Grandfather, a 32 degree Mason, left me one that is very similar, with the exact same silver knight's head at the top.
