Howdy all,
Went adventuring this morning for a couple hours. I ran over to a park I have hit a few times for a coinshoot. I decided to go super slow and see what might be deeper. I was impressed with what I found. My first keeper hit was the broach piece. It was sitting about 7 inches down with some pottery pieces. If anyone has a relative date for this piece please chime in. Next was the button. I know its old, and my guess is probably a leftover from the indian wars. It says massachusetts on the bottom clear as a bell, and was also about 6 or so inches down. Again any info on this button would make my day. I got a kick out of the 3 merry widows condom tin as well. The Silver ring, and earring were in the same hole. And lastly the wheaty pocket spill. All are from the 40's and 50's. Not a bad day at all. I still have a ton of ground to cover, and can only speculate at what might be there. Thanks for looking and luck in the hunt.

The Merry can be straightened out with a small ball-peen hammer, and buffed to a lovely sheen. Looks great on the nightstand, just perfect for those late night guests. People always kid when then find one, me, I'm trying to dig the whole set. Hell, some of us could be out here detecting specifically because of one of those beauties!
