Maybe a bullet ?, need id help please.

Hey hey fellow treasure hunters, was wondering if anyone can tell me what I found ? I found this on an oval on a military base that goes back to early 1700's 1800's. But has been a base until just a few years back. Any idea's !!!!! thanks for lookin L8TR......

.45 ACP, full metal jacket.

Standard military pistol for about 75 yrs.

The Colt .45 ACP issue started in 1911 so the bullet could be an early old one.
