Is there someone who would be willing to take an instructional video of themselves detecting with the F75 on disc 6 sens 60 dE mode notch 1 in a really trashy irony naily area?

I would love to hear the machine and see the VDI and what you actually dig up :)

I know to much to ask, but if I didn't then I would never know if someone would do it.

Thanks!

Sorry i cant help with a video and i don't know how much it would help to see one .
Dont try to much to fast with the F75. Work in open space and less iron . i run 2 tones
most of the time if i use 4 tones in iron my head would explode . :laughing7:
Also if your in iron you can try the 5in DD coil but you still have to put in the time .
After a couple sets of batteries it will be a piece of cake . HH Mike

Never tried to do a video but my camera will. May be a good excuse.

Careful with "Notch 1" on the F-75. The screen shows "1" with no notch at all set. BUT, it is possible to actually set Notch at 1. If you have discrimination set at 6 and have punched the menu button while in the notch menu you may have notched IN 1 - which will read everything from 0 to 5, so you are basically running in all metal! You should see a bar across left side of the word "IRON" range at the upper display if you are Disc 6 with no notch. You don't want half a bar on just the right side of the word. That shows you've notched in low iron accidently.

I usually do a full reset (hold the menu button in and the push trigger forward when turning the unit on for the first three seconds or so).

I'll see about that video, but it's raining and may continue for the next few days. It will also need to be short. I'm on dial-up and a 30 second flick from YouTube takes me 20 minutes to view. ::)

Well, thank you Charlie!!! I would love to see what signals people actually dig. I get so many signals that bounce from the 20's to the 50's through 80's and then to 40's then back to 20's and then 70's. I don't know whether to dig or not. When I do dig, I usually don't find anything or if I do it is trash. I hardly ever get a strong signal in my yard.

I don't think I ever hit notch it just is at 1. I will do the factory reset right now. BUt I am not metal detecting for a while. I am to frustrated as it is very humid and there are alot of bugs AND I only find trash LOL.

Lakillian, Skypilot02 here! Great to speak with you! Saginaw Ian has a few YouTube videos concerning the F-75, I'd be willing to wager that he would make one for you, if you P.M. him, or if he sees this he may even volunteer. He is a great guy, and always willing to help in any way he can! He is also very proficient with the '75, and if you have the time, check out some of his posts and the great things he finds. Hope this helps! Regards, Richard

Nick,

I am sorry to have bombarded you with Pm's but you are such a nice guy and I love asking questions and you giving me the answers. I will try not to bombard you any more. The last one I sent will be the last until you pm me back.

I truly appreciate your kindness and your friendship.

if your in REAL heavy iron....

Sloooooooow is the name of the game. since the F75 processes the audio and VDI info separately...you have to utilize TWO swing speeds the get ALL the info when evaluating a target.
a crisp swing speed will get you better depth, and a LOT better TID info. The audio may suffer when swinging smartly, but the VDI will be spot on. A slower swing speed will often yield a lot better audio, and the 75 WILL separate co-located targets quite a bit better. As I said.....depth will suffer a bit...but if you find yourself in a setting where there is a lot of co-located Fe mixed in with the good conductors......and things arent horrifically deep........... the 75 will separate and Id a lot better with a very slow sweep speed. Oddly enough........if Rf interference isnt bad.....and you can jack to sens up to "99", it actually INCREASES resolution! Add a disc setting of "0" to the mix, (better unmasking) , and you have an unbeatable relic machine! Streak!
