Hello all. I got out Saturday with a buddy scouting some sites. We didn't have much luck metal detecting but we both found some Native American relics. I haven't found any in a while so it was a nice change. It's odd that the majority in this area of SC are made out of white quartz for the most part. Back home in Northern Nc they're primarily chert or flint. It was a beautiful day to get out & save some history! Thanks for looking & HH!

Older than anything you will find with a detector

Nice artifact saves. Don't see a lot of those on the Antique Roadshow.

Very cool. I'm still hoping to get my first some day. They are a rare find here in MN.

arrowheads are awesome. even broken ones. any time I have ever found one, I always wonder about the person who made it.

You're still quite a bit up on me! I would gladly trade days with you! For you see, I , for some unknown reason, have NEVER found an arrowhead!

Love 'em!

I have seen those arrowheads go for obscene amounts of money. But what's more valuable than money?

Bragging rights while showing your buddies!

High ground near water is usually key. The settlers would build on top of Indian settlements in many cases. You'll find one eventually!

Nice handful of NA artifacts Josh. Your eyeballing skills are obviously very good.

Nice finds mangum, I hunt in SC near Charlotte as well, and find a lot of quartz points, especially those guilfords... HH!

I'm in an area where one would think I would have tripped over one by now! LOL Maybe my eyes are tuned too much toward metal. ;)

Thanks!

If you found that many pieces in a confined area there is a story there! A camp, a butcher site, or something else with a deep history. Keep up the good work and investigate what story lies there. Those finds are telling you something we all would like to know! Keeps us in the loop! :icon_thumright: The Kid
