Went to lake MI today for a 3 hr hunt in 29 degree weather with north winds 10 to 15 mph (cold to say the least)!

I had hopes that after the storm moving through 2 days ago that there would be some new cuts to hunt with the prospect of a gold ring or 2 to be found - but - no such luck!

However, the winds & waves did move the sand away from the beach which exposed some hard surface usually buried under 2 ft of sand and I managed to find 3 rings (1 antique copper school girls ring, 1 sterling childs' ring, and 1 stainless mans ring).

Also in the mix is a $1 coin, 2 quarters, 1 dime, 5 nickels, 3 wheat pennies, and 10 & a 1/2 memorial pennies - along with a key, some dodads, old glasses frames, the tongue of a baby spoon (older as it says "Made in the USA") and various pieces of junk.

HH all :headbang:

Hey lonewolfe,

I hear you on the cold and meager finds but, as they say, a bad day metal detecting's better than a good day at work!

I smell gold. Good luck on your next hunt!
