Just got back from the Town of Duck NC Outer Banks. I got out 3 times. Tempertures 100*+.
These were the only finds I saved when I sorted things out at the end of the days. Not pictured are a whole bunch of rusty nails and screws, old fishing leaders & hooks, and about a million bottle caps. Maaybe one day I will find something cool. For now it's back to dry land hunts in northern Ohio!

Cool! Is that a "cross" hand-cut into a coin that I see? Sub 8-)

Looks like you did some community service there at least !!! :occasion14: Better luck next time and happy hunts to ya :headbang:

That is probably the coolest nail I've seen in a long time.

Most assuredly it is the largest one posted to date. I think you may have surpassed some kind of a record with that beauty.

It doesn't look like it's ever been pounded on, so after some electrolysis you should have a magnificent showpiece!

Congrats on the fantastic find!

The cross token was made out of a 1994 penny. It looks like it came from one of those machines you see at amusement parks that will make you a souvenir out of a penny.
I found the nail at low tide in the packed wet sand.

Hey Sub. Hope all is well. The "cross penny" comes from these people. I have found a couple of them around here.

Cross Penny Ministry

We mockingly refer to them as "pennies from Heaven"... I have a twisted sense of humor...
