Good capture of a Grackle with it's oily iridescent colors.
My Sister-in law looks at me like that.
Well I'll be dipped in hog fat,I always thought they were black birds.This is a Grackle out our way..blonde at that.

I saw a mean looker eating some little snails or something off some rocks in some rapids one time.
They seem to be always looking around. They pretty much keep to their own kind and not at all aggressive to other birds that I've seen. Yeah maybe they dine on a lot of tiny little thing. There's a bird that looks like them in warmer states like Texas and Arizona that makes a really odd loud sound.Have you ever watched them walk along branches picking little tidbits?..Kinda comical.
