Good capture of a Grackle with it's oily iridescent colors.

You're both right. A Grackle is a type of black bird.

Nice pictures of the meanie. :icon_thumright:

My Sister-in law looks at me like that.

Great Picture 'S.

Are Black Birds Crows ? or in the same Family so to speak ?

Only Latin / Scientific names from now on everybody. LOL

It's a former 'Terra-raptor' .

I'm so weird , It's the shape of the head that makes it look mean .

If you cover up the head & look just at the eye , it looks ' imo ' like a Fish eye.

Ill shut up now.

That dude looks serious.

Yeah they are pretty man bullies at the bird feeder. My mother is forever trying to scare them away to let the other birds eat. There are a few types of birds who give it right back at them though. Most of the woodpeckers and blue jays hold thier own. They sure are pretty with those colors though

Another angry bird:

:)

My wife loves that game ... even has it on her phone (an ancient HP Palm Pixi).

Yeah, he does look like one of them birds in the game. Any green pigs running around?

I saw a mean looker eating some little snails or something off some rocks in some rapids one time.

Have you ever watched them walk along branches picking little tidbits?..Kinda comical.

They seem to be always looking around. They pretty much keep to their own kind and not at all aggressive to other birds that I've seen. Yeah maybe they dine on a lot of tiny little thing. There's a bird that looks like them in warmer states like Texas and Arizona that makes a really odd loud sound.
