Meanings of crowns & crosses made from crossed swords in Spanish treasure symbolism.

1. Does anyone know what 5 and 7 point crowns meant, or crosses made of crossed swords means concerning Spanish symbols carved into rock?
2. Did the Spanish use indian petroglyphs and symbols to hide their symbols?
3. Did the spanish mark indian granarys or ever use a granary to hide their treasure?

I live on the Spanish Trail in Utah and i've found 5 Spanish Crosses within a couple miles from my here. They are off the trail and only accessable by climbing steep cliffs. These crosses are located in two locations. One is accessible after a 20 ft climb wedged between rocks, which leads to two crosses(one large one approx. 30 ft away with #'s and letters, and one small one maybe 15 ft from the entrance) which are near a old indian granary only accessable by wedging yourself on a cliffside over a 100 plus foot straight down cliff with nothing under you. The entrance is not blocked but constructed from logs. I'd check it out, but looking inside it looks like it could be packrat infested and I don't want hantavirus(spelling?). Nobody's been inside in a long time, probably since the indians abandoned it.
The other three are mixed in with a bunch of petroglyphs on the opposite side of town. Among which is an owl not far away and the top half of a turtle. There is also a "indian guy" in a circle that has a horsehead. One of the crosses is made of two swords. Along with this is a crown with 5 points and a crown with 7 points which is part of a picture of a bear paw it looks like with the crown seperate. if you follow the cliffside a little farther you get to a stone carving of an eagle and a mans face looking the same direction. There are many other petroglyphs and some rectangles and dashes. My usb cord stopped working for my camera so i cant upload pictures yet but i will try to borrow one tomorrow.
Could anyone help me decipher any symbols? I'll post pictures asap.
