this appears to be thin silver. it is 1 3/4' tall by 1 1/4 wide. Thanks for the welcome form everyone. My dad gave it to me,he said his brother gave it to him in some coins. His brother lived in KC MO.

I've never seen a badge quite like this one but lean toward US Engineers Corps as well. A cool piece whatever it is.
