It's a hammer and a compass. It was the national emblem for the DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik) formerly known as East Germany and was also on the flag. I wouldn't steer ya wrong.Wow!! LOL, Some things I know automatically, this was one I knew because I collect militaria. Other things I've seen on here before or have run across it researching something else in the past. Then there are many that just need a few clicks of the mouse to figure out. I collect/ buy, sell and trade antiques and collectibles as a hobby so you learn many things by way of researching your own found items. It keeps me out of trouble and it beats drinking.Man you crack me up, you and a hand ful of others seem to know everything right away. I et you get PM's all the time from folks wanting to know what stuff is.
