Medieval coin? And weekend silvers

Went woods hunting around a 1000 year old castle and my digging partner believes I've found a very old medieval coin I'm not sure so I thought I'd post.
Coin?

Hope you get an ID on that first item, which does seem to be a coin. I am not personally experienced with coins having an image on only one side. Maybe a Medieval bracteate? Those other coins are great, and would really make someone's day here in the states. Congrats.

Personally, I think the object is a piece of jewelry copying a coin style.

I'm not familiar with the particular type it might be, but that thin Silver piece does indeed look like a Medieval Bracteate coin. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/flimsy-thin-delicate-medieval-bracteates.348959/

Maybe just a decorative applique (certainly used as such given the holes) but I'd dig around because it could be an obscure and interesting medieval coin.

Many were completely anepigraphic so that's irrelevant for bracteates. Found this in 30 seconds, maybe closer matches can be located without much more effort?

Do you have a weight and diameter for the coin? That orielensis fellow on coin talk who authored the educational thread on bracteates is very intelligent and helpful, perhaps contacting him would get you the information you need. Forgot to congratulate you on the find, they are obscure and appeal to a small niche audience but are objectively quite rare, good work!

Sure seems like it, I believe the orielensis collector guy had explained that in order to discourage hoarding in the various polities that issued them, Bracteate Coinage was frequently recalled, demonetized and re-coined with identifiably different designs, hence the scarcity nowadays. Having been used as a decoration and functionally pulled from circulation probably saved it from the crucible.

Identified this one. It's a 1495-1519 Würzburg diocese One-sided Pfennig oJ VF +, l.Pr.schw. Lorenz von Bibra 1495-1519

Interesting Lorenz von Bibra was an advisor to Maxamillian of the Holy Roman empire.

Its about 1/2 inch in diameter. It weighs .12 to .13 grams. Would be pretty cool if it were a coin!

I keep looking . It's very similar to other bracteates but not a solid match. If it's a coin it's really rare

Some are quite valuable and hundreds of different ones out there... Good find and congrats on all that silver!

They regulary come holed. I don't know if it's true but the saying is they were sewn into the clothes through that hole.
