Today Land-Mag & I spent 2 hrs on what I thought was they only available land (Where I had the 2 Hammered coins last outing). However, whilst diverting to get some petrol we noticed one of our land-owners taking in the Winter Barley! HARVEST is here already!
It must be the earliest in the area!
Anyways as we had a short window, gridding was off the table, so we wandered in the un-searched area.
As luck would have it, I got a great find;
Circa 14th C Horse Harness Pendant - as it is a Scallop Shell design it probably represents the 'Way of St James', a Pilgrimage to Northern Spain (Santiago de Compostela). It was generally only Wealthy families that could do such a long trip, & this pendant (Which only Wealthy families owned) suggests that this family either did the journey or had a strong connection to St James. Lots of Gold Gilt left on this one! (Got me going for a sec, as I saw it before bending over...)
Bits & bobs, & a Tudor Button.
