hi all, I have not managed to get much detecting time in lately due to work, house move and also Christmas.

Today though I got out for a couple of hours yipeeee! my main reason to get out was to test out the video footage quality of my new sony action cam that my Mrs bought me for Christmas ( very impressed so far although I need to remember to take it out of its waterproof housing next time as it messes with the sound quality a bit).

I was not expecting to find much as I went over a nit of pasture that I have been over quite a few times now but I still managed a worn coin and also what I believe to be a possible medieval mans finger ring.

I will put the link to the video here if you want to watch it https://youtu.be/L4_f_vkevJ0

I have also uploaded a couple of photos of the ring, one with a scale next to it and one that shows the decoration better.

I hope you enjoy the video and please give it a thumbs up if you do.

happy hunting all :)

Sorry, its not a typical looking medieval ring, but does look to be at least 18th C. Keep at it, a medieval ring is very possible, but I had more Roman ones myself.

Ah gutted, I will definitely keep at it. I would love to find anything Roman! There was not much roman activity round my neck of the woods and the ones that were round here must have had zip up pocket's as they didn't seem to lose anything
