Went back to my new permission where I scored the six tokens the other night and slowed things WAY down with my Etrac. I have to believe this house has never been hit before because it just keeps kicking out high tone targets. It's the best place I've been in awhile for sure!

Pulled four more tokens tonight (all the same Mason's Drug Store 5c)...these things are aluminum but ring up just like silver quarter so it's a huge signal. Also pulled an 1890 indian tonight, a handful of wheats, a Barber dime (only my 2nd one, 1913), Roosevelt dime (1963), and a Variety 2 1917 SLQ (a first for me). The best part of it is the owner got me permission at the neighboring house and is working on getting me permission at the other adjacent house...I got turned down there a few weeks ago but he says he is good friends with the guy and is pretty sure he can get me in. That guy in the adjacent house also has a lost wedding ring somewhere in his yard so the prospect of me being able to find it for him might be a good "in" there....I'll look for the ring all day long, but if I happen to find more old coins and tokens, then so be it!

Pics below are everything from Thursday and today minus the token I gave back to the owner who donated it to the historical society. Now that I have them all cleaned up I'll give him more if he wants them for sure. I'm just happy to finally have a worthwhile door knock!

Tokens: 10 (9 shown)
Indians: 2 (1907 and 1890)
Silver: 3
Wheats: 7

Killer Coins, congrats! Sub8-)

Amazing finds for one area.. Good job

You sure do have a sweet permission and are pulling some impressive finds there. :headbang: That guy sounds cool and it will be sweet if you get permissions to hunt the whole neighborhood. :hello2:

Super SLQ there, that one is in extremely fine shape.

That place has provided some great finds. Keep at it.

that's a great site, awesome amount of tokens, beauty of a SLQ as well!!, the neighboring properties hopefully cough up the goods too!!!

Was wondering about where that was. I'm not going to sell it but it's nice to know what kind of shape it's in. I'm glad it's an early one and I'm glad it has a date...I've only got one other one in my collection and it was one I bought about 15 years ago when I was actively collecting. It's been a bucket list coin for awhile now!

Looks like you've yourself a pretty darn good situation over there! Love the SLQ- I collect that series and enjoy seeing them posted- yours looks like it's in great shape- Congrats! GL on future hunts..

Thanks! Although I am completely stoked to have dug a SLQ, I do have to say part of me was hoping it was a half or a dollar, which is what the numbers on the detector were suggesting. Silver quarters typically come up 12-46 or 12-47 on the Etrac, halves and dollars (allegedly) come up 1 or 2 ferrous and either 46 or 47 conductive. That quarter came up 2-46 almost perfectly, which is something I'm not used to seeing. Either way, I'll take it!

Hey can you put up a big fat pic (both sides) of the SLQ ? In that condition these are such a nice coin !!!

No problem - I need to get a better pic of the tokens too anyway.

Here ya go!
