Here in our small mountain communites the snow is melting where locals and visiters have been sledding. In three very small areas I have found about $10.00. Most of the coins were visible and just laying on the ground. A few with the metal detector - A Bounty Hunter Tracker IV. Today I was at one of our small mountain lakes with a playground and stopped at the local small grocery store. I was told that about a couple of weeks ago when the ground by the lake was covered with about 3 feet of snow a visitor threw a snowball and off went his ring. The snow has mostly melted now and under a thin coating of dirt was the ring. I left information at the store in case the person comes back. Also in areas where melted snow and rain have caused run off - a good area to find coins where people have been. Lakes, swimming areas, campgrounds, ski areas, school grounds, etc. I'll be busy.
