I hit a local school that has a hidden soccer/playing field surrounded by woods. I scouted it out last week and waited for the weekend to hunt it. Glad I did, as I dredged a 1944 Mercury dime, which is weird as the school is only about 20 years old. Also found an unmarked sterling rose pendant, four kids' rings, including an interlocked and soldered "Buds/butterflies" ring. (Does this count as two rings for my totals?) I think I will return to this field tomorrow to scour for silver...
Also dredged a couple of bling pendants, a clutch pin with a "Hang Ten" design, hallmarked on the back, "Copyright V. Evers, 1979," two Euro coins, (10 and 20 cents,) and two different arcade tokens. I added $5.82 in clad to the charity fund. It was hot, humid, and fun!
I learned that as of this morning, we also have a new grandson, yay!
Add that to the fact that I have baby back ribs smoking on the smoker for dinner, and it has just turned out to be a great day. Happy Hunting to all! Sub
