Accidentally removed all my pics from a previous post...still learning my way around from my phone so here goes...in these pics you'll find a medieval token? Wisbech button , spelled in reverse...half a silver Georgian cufflink , a commemorative ashtray for general R. Buller, who received the Victoria Cross...he was in his 60's at the time and reluctant to lead in the last war he fought in. ...lots of his soldiers died in that campaign , my history is alittle fuzzy right now. I was told that Claudius Gothicus II defeated the Goths in a campaign he was either outnumbered or wasn't expected to win. They minted this coin to honor him.
I guess he lasted 2 years as emperor and then died from disease or something along those lines. That find really got me excited. Just thinking about the history in that coin. It is something we don't get here on the west coast. Thanks for viewing...and thank you to my gracious friends from England...
