metal detecting abroad

hey guys
i will be visiting Prague this coming summer for a couple weeks and was wondering about the wheres and hows of detecting in other countries. how could i find a location? can i hook up with a club? etc......
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Only foriegn country I ever tried was arkansas . Course being in MS ...it was a step up !!!!

I've done most of the ex communist countries with no trouble. You do have to have up to date information though as things change rather quickly.
I suggest you contact Detekt at info@detekt.cz
They have been selling machines for twenty odd years. They have a repair place in Prague and are the main or only distributer for Minelab out there. Little family business so they will probably link you up with a local club or take you out themselves. Its nice to take a little gift when you go ....in the old Yugoslavia/Bulgaria etc a jar of quality coffee was considered a real luxury. If you get an invite ask them if there's anything they would like you to bring.

Apparently I don't know what the regulations are for detecting abroad.

Cause every time I've tried, I've gotten slapped. HH
