Metal detecting and surgery. How long should I wait.

Hi everyone, I spent a couple days in ICU here at duke and am currently recovering from a partial removal of my pancreas.

I was just wonder how long it might be before I am able to swing again.

Anyone here gone through a major surgery? If so how long did it take you to recover?

Believe it or not, I have not seen the dr. The nurse says maybe 6 to 8 weeks. But maybe sooner.
Just trying to get a gauge in the average recovery time

Never less than four. With all mine it was 6 weeks.
