Metal detecting buddy in the Worcester, MA area

Hi all,am new to this forum and sort of new to metal detecting. I purchased a metal detector a few years back, but never really used it like I wanted to. I am looking for a metal detecting buddy to show me the ropes, so so speak. I am very interested in cache hunting but really don't know which direction to search in. I love the history behind all the local treasure tales.
