Metal detecting finds me a fossil

Finally took time from the honey-do list to get in more than 30 minutes hunting time. Took 3 1/2 hours at a local park that was formerly farmstead land to swing the V3i and the Deus. 2 hours coinshooting a parking lot edge, 1 hour for relics near where the farmhouse would have been. I dumped about twice the trash before leaving with this haul of it.

The watch was found at the parking lot 6 feet from the curb and just below the grass thatch. Was my third target, and it exactly like a zinc penny but was too large, so I went to remove the can slaw and bam!, a fossil for the reward. 8-)

Also nabbed a dateless buffalo nickel near the other relics.

Was great to get out again. Thanks for looking and good hunting.
