Hi All,

Well today I was thinking about getting myself a metal detector one day. I went online and searched some up and thought the Mine Lab x terra 505 might be a good choice. My question is, is there any other metal detectors that are good? I'm mostly looking for something that will detect all metals and have an emphasis on gold detecting. My budget I want to start out with is about 500 to 600 dollars. I first need to save up some money, but I want to know what to get so I know how much I need. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks!

In your price range, I'd get the Gold Bug

Xterra's are great machines, nice and light, great tone, and easy to use.

Make sure you stick with the Major brand names in detectors like, White's, Minelab, Garrett, Tesoro, Teknetics, and Fisher. Then check which detectors from these manufactures fit into your budget, and then read what you can about each of these models to see what fits your type of detecting ie Nugget Shooting, Coins/jewelry, Relics, Freshwater, Saltwater, etc.
