Metal Detector power off/ on question

Do you Guys and Dolls turn off your Metal Detector between digs?

Are you asking if we turn it off while digging a target? No. I dont turn it off until I'm done hunting. A fully charged battery gives me a full days hunt and then some.

I suppose that if you were running out of battery and trying to hunt as long as possible, that could give you a wee bit more time.

No, I only turn the machine off if I am leaving the site.

I won't usually, unless I know that I'm digging a huge piece of deep iron that is going to take a while to get out, in which case I will turn off my detector to save the batteries.

Mine's on until I'm done at a site. I will turn my sensitivity down while I'm digging if i getting annoying chatter.

I only turn it off after I have tucked it gently in my bed and ready to turn the lights out.

No, turn On in beginning and Off when done hunting!

Same as most it stays on the entire hunt . I get 40 hrs on 4 AA Batteries ,so it's plenty cheap enough to run.
