What are going to hunt? and where?

I'll be hunting mostly relics maybe some beach hunting from time to time. I'll hunt mostly around my house in North Georgia.

I have a whites eagle ii sl now just looking to upgrade.

XP Deus light. The good thing about this is you can always upgrade and get a control box later.

If you go UP $200, you can start looking at Minelab multi-frequency machines that will do the jobs you are asking a machine to do. Below $1,000.00 it is very hard to do.

Thinking about it, Fisher has a multi-freq for $808.00, the CZ3d.

If your getting into the salt /wet-sand, or water a multi-frequency machine is what you want if you mean the dry sand only at the beach most machines will work some just better than others.
beside the detector, you will need some recovery tool too.
With the info I have I would narrow my search to about five or so in your price range, then look at reviews on those machines (with a grain or two of salt).:icon_scratch:
Finding the right machine will be your first treasure hunt.:occasion14:

He's hunting mostly relics. You'd be hard pressed to find something better than the Deus. As far as the beach which he states will hunt on occasion, the Deus has performed great for me on both dry and wet sand.

Love my Deus Lite. Upgraded from AT Pro.

Iam looking to buy a new metal detector just can't make my mind up. Iam looking to spend around 800 maybe a little more what machine would you guys recommend and why thanks

I would look at a minelab Safari
Great beach and land Detector
Left you a PM
thanks

You can find used safaris with warranty for $5-600 (I've bought and sold 2 for that) Explorer SE Pro or Etrac for just a little bit more. All use the same FBS technology and will work well on saltwater beaches and mineralized north GA clay
