Metal Detector Sole

Wonder if it is possible to build a metal detector into the sole of a shoe. There you go, ready to MD anywhere, anytime.

The hard part is waving your foot just over the ground. Pressing it hard into the ground each step will be hard to establish a steady ground balance setting. Get a Dachshund and hook one to his belly.

I have seen them on ebay. They are called something like "walk and seeks". Im sure someone has a link. HH dave.

I've never seen a shoe with a detector in it but there is a remote control car out there with one build into it. I'm not sure how good it works but it does exist.

I kind of posted it as a joke. Doesnt seem too practical. However, imagine a soldier in Iraq, with Metal detecor shoes. If it starts to beep, he/she could stop from putting their foot down and step the other way......could be a bomb!

mine detecting shoes...the military has tried sillier things. (don't take that wrong, I am a supporter of our boys!) but you never know!
