Metal Detecting 4 Veterans and Valor Metal Detecting Helping Veterans
Organizations Doubling Outreach Efforts To Help Veterans Nationwide
May 20, 2025 White Plains, NY – Metal Detectors 4 Veterans, Inc. (md4v.org), has partnered with Valor Metal Detecting (valormd.org), founded by Marine veteran, Alex Logan, in Swansboro, North Carolina. Like Metal Detectors 4 Veterans, Valor Metal Detecting (VMD), is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering veterans by combining the therapeutic power of metal detecting with the mission of historical preservation.
VMD founder Alex Logan commented, “What began as a hobby among fellow veterans has evolved into a powerful initiative aimed at fostering camaraderie, healing, and purpose for those who have served. Valor Metal Detecting seeks to provide veterans with a supportive community where they can reconnect with a sense of purpose and uncover tangible pieces of our nation’s past. Through training programs, group outings, and the goal of establishing veteran-led satellite groups, we equip veterans with the tools and skills to explore history, develop new skills, and connect with fellow service members.”
Terry Soloman, founder of Metal Detectors 4 Veterans said, “Alex is a fellow veteran and knows the value of metal detector therapy. He can relate to other veterans, and to how they deal with the everyday stresses of living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I know that together our organizations can expand our outreach helping to bring these brave and deserving men and women - and their families, some relief from the insidious and invisible wounds caused by PTSD.”
