Looks like a piece of lead Bar. Is it soft?

Tin, pewter or pot metal?

does it flake or scratch? if so, it might be fossilized bone. In Florida they find a lot of fossilized bone that weathers black. Turtle, manatee etc.

It's shiny underneath it's hard to get a good pic but the shape is just like a lead bar. Definitely not lead though Could be part handle but that little chunk is two ounces a 6" long handle would be a pound or more. Looks melted on the ends to me not a break idk

sent your imgs to a friend that smelts
gold,silver,magnesium,zinc
he thinks at the 2oz and size, color its
prob zinc. a cheap test is file a space
and if it gives a mirror like shine, its zinc
and post an img, of the results
he dosent think its magnesium, 2oz is
a little heavy for the size of the object
but a cheap test, for magnesium put
a few drops vinegar on it, should bubble

this is a close up of a pic I already posted. I didn't use a file but I gave it a good rub on the concrete.
