✅ SOLVED metal or locket ???

found what I thought was my 1st Largie it was very green when i unearthed it , But then I thought it was a metal because of the little attachment ring . went back in the hole and another piece came out ... there is really not much on the piece except for the sun or star pattern in the middle of the front piece ... I realize it is not that exciting of a piece but just curious if anyone might have any Ideas on what the heck it was used for or thanks Jim
