Only got out for an hour today. Found $.19 in clad, an "I Am Loved button', and these strange rocks. They were found over quite a large area in the playground area and all registered a solid VDI of +30 - 32 on MD. It wasn't until I got home that I discovered that one of them has numbers on it and marks like a ruler. They feel and look like a rock but act like metal (at least to the detector). What is very strange is that these were not found in one small area. I got through aobut 50% of the tot lot which approx. 50'x50' and these were found in various places scattered throughout. I also found a lot of small pieces of twisted metal, again scattered thorught out the tot lot, which I just threw out, but maybe there is a connection?

Nice finds! They are a type of metal, maybe white metal or something, i forget..

Things get caught up in the chipper/shredder. Brittle metal gets busted up and softer metal gets twisted. That is if it was a wood chip lot.

The item on the left has a upsidedown number 10 on it. (Man Made)

Keep @ it and HH!!

it looks to be a carpenters speed square, or what is left of it......looks like it got in a fight with a chipper and lost.....lone gunman

You beat me to it (while I was taking the photos) Some kind of cast alloy.
