Hello there, my partner found this today in a field near hertfordshire anyone have any clues wat it might be and what time period is it from?? It's v heavy and from wing to wing spans about 14/15cm please any help

In this country the skull with wings is generally though of as representing a motorcycle club/gang.

Skulls with wings also decorated quite a few 18th century gravestones,it was the in thing to do.Maybe you'll luck out.

I think it is tombstone related. Whether it was separated from it's original location or not is another question. Our local cemetery has been looted of many urns, etc. You might check with the local cemetery to make sure they are not missing it.

It's not wings. It's Skull with flames your referring to and world wide not just here.

Is it made of Lead, or Bronze and is the bottom square?
