Metal thing with a scary face

found this in the attic. Have been using it as a door stop. I have got alot of compliments on this but when people ask me what is it. I really don't know what to say. Looks like maybe a decoration for something, but what. Weight is 10 3/4 ounces and I think it is iron.

Is it the Pic or doesn't it look like that mounting screw? seems way too long for a coathook?

The screw is 3 inches long. It would have to attach to something really thick.

I would say it is a hat rack that mounts on top of a coat rack.
