Meteorites per gram

I know that meteorites are sold by the gram, but are they weighed in troy grams like gold (31.1 per oz.), or 28 grams per oz?

Hi all, pretty sure the troy is for precious and semi-precious, and everything else is standard metric, if the meteor is made of gold, I ain't sure. nimby
