"Mexican Silver" new dumpsite gives it up again!
Don't know where to start... Went to my favorite spot that has given up silver in the past. Last week no silver but I did stay at a holiday inn, lol
But seriously, this morning I started the day late. Went from cleaning the pool to taking a drive to my new dumpsite. I just love those old dumpsites. Well, after taking a detour to buy shock for the pool, I decided to head in the opposite direction. Am I so glad I did... After 8 long hrs I managed to fish out some silver coins. Sorry for not providing a detail play by play, but I'm beat, dehydrated and hungry!
Didn't post the wheatys or marbles just the best finds, lol.
[emoji33]I almost had a heart attack when I found what looked like a gold coin and then I turned it around and it was a 1971 Argentina 20 centavo. Looked like a draped bust, but the coin Gods were playing tricks on me. Well, needless to say I managed to drop it somewhere in the 20 acres. [emoji31]
Well after 3 hrs I one of my first finds was a weird token that say "Southwest Public Service Company" with hands shaking, and on the other side it says "keep this it may be your lucky number 0500 hand in hand together 1968."
After that, I pulled a 1971 Mexican peso, not too long after that a 1981 $20 peso... Not giving up I continue to another spot and Bang!!!! Silver baby...! A 1937 50 centavos marked .720! Okay I'm beat and the sun is taking its toll...
There's one spot that keeps calling me... Last time I dug in this area I found a Mexican coin with 30% silver content. Scanned the top and immediately a light high tone. By this time my swings are high and fast, rushing as the sun is going down... I take my time and start digging and digging... I run the Beast (AT Gold) over the hole and hit a louder hi tone. I'm ready to give in and not too excited as I pull the top lid of a copper pen and then out pops up roundness, but this one is different. It's a conquistador on a silver coin. A closer look reveals a 1961 a Republica De Panama coin.
I decide it's time to call it a quits but WAIT!!!! One more swing just one more swing over the hole, BAM!!!!!!! Sweet high tone but bouncy at 89 and then 94. I slowed down my swing and I continued to get a steady 94. I take a deep breath, crossing my fingers hooping it's a silver half and what do I see another Mexican coin. Not another $20 peso or centavo coin, but this one is thicker. I turned it over and about fell on my a$$!!!!
1 onza Plata Pura 1985 Mexico Let .999
Wowowowowoowowowowoowowow!!!!!!!
That's it, I'm done digging for a while.
And here I said I wasn't going into detail, sorry! The excitement got to me.
Enjoy the pics!
