A machine like this would work without the need for discrimination by giving you clear images of the actual buried objects. When you can clearly tell that it is junk such as nails or pulltabs, you don't have to dig. 
It will make all other machines obsolete!
Could somebody please get started on this machine!
On the other hand, forget it! A unit like that may spell the end of detecting as we know it.
