middle of the back woods find..lead and blasting cap?

hi all..here's one for you guys to figure out for me. Found these two items within 5 inches of each other. WWWWay out in the woods.! the glob is lead..the other torpedo looking thing is tin/metal.and has a hole on one end and a rounded/bullet nose ,the inside is hollow thanks

could it be an old mining blasting cap? anybody seen anything like this?

It may very well be a temperature sensor of some sort, like for a thermostat or some such.

hmm..a temp sensor.....?..I dont think so......unless a bird carried it a mile back in uninhabited/foot travel only territory..hmm

I don't know what it is, but you can be sure no animal except a two legged one carried it there. Unfortunately that's what humans do, leave evidence of their presence. Monty

yes sir...in 2 hours of hunting in the back country...this is the only 2 signals (beeps) i had and they were right next to each other
