:hello:

After the snow melt I decided to give the Roman Villa field another go 8) knowing the snow would have flattened the crop and the soil, so a few finds might show :P

Managed a few scrappy Bronzes(posted the best) and another 2 hammered :headbang: two cut halfs both short cross, also a nice little seal, can't decide if its Roman or later :icon_scratch:

First Gold of the year, hopefully not the last, and hopefully not the oldest, it's part of a Gold cuff-link, had a unusuall Alloy Token :help:and a couple of Bronze ones made the day worth while.Hopefully tomorrow will bring more of the same

I have also posted a picture of some of the building material used on the Villa, you can see the stones and flints used in the making of what looks like concrete.

I could look up the 1797 halfpenny Token if you wish?

The Vessical Seal is ecclesiastical & circa 14th Century (priest/monk holding book).

Two shortcross you lucky dog. Dad is away & I'm going nowhere this weekend :(

I know there are a lot more Hammered on the Villa field :P but it's just a very large area, mostly down to look from now until the crop grows to high, if it's dry tomorrow I will drop back on it, so maybe more Hammered to show :icon_thumleft:

Funny, how you can read it once you see the book: (the provincial token - coinage of the 18th century - dalton & hamer 1910-1918 - updated - Davisson)

Ship - 'Liverpool Halfpenny'
Liverpool coat of arms - 'Deus Nobis Hac Otia Fecit' / '1797'

The Seal has a couple of medieval 'E's :icon_thumright:

What an awesome hunt, a little bit of everything! Crusader beat me to the Vesica seal ID, I was going to say 13th to 14th century. Very nice and HH, Mike
