Looks like your on a roll.
What kind of places are you detecting?
Good mix of oldies and newer coins.

I mostly try to hunt house sites that date pre-1950. But I also hunt lots of old parks and whatever else I can find that has some history to it. I could probably have double the coin total if I dug all of the coin signals that I run over, but I only dig them if they are 4" deep or deeper. If I don't think it is old, then I don't want it, haha, I'm too greedy I think! :)

I kind of figured these were yard finds. You just don't find half dollars and wheat cents in that quantity any more in the parks and schoolyards. (At least around here).
You're way ahead of me for the year.
Nice going!

Thanks! :)

My first walking liberty half was actually in a park, but it was a relatively modern park that wasn't made until the 1960s or so, so the old timers never hunted it and I think I was the first person to hit it.

My other 2 clad halves were both in parks as well and not very deep. Just lucky on those I guess.

Great half year totals! Don't always think you have to dig deep for old coins though, I just read on another forum of a surface find, a 1901 Double Eagle!

I hope the second have of the year is as good for you, Mike

Yeah... I know about finding them shallow as well! I've found a silver rosie, wheats, and an indian head cent all at just an inch deep.... Then at one house site I was detecting I found a wheat penny laying on top of the ground. You just never know!
