Might be a button...

Hi,

Thought this was a button when it came out of the ground. Not so sure now. Any ideas will be welcome.

- 1/16+ thick, 5/8" dia.
-It's metal, possibly lead but, feels a little light for that.
-The little hole has a number 1 at the bottom
-It's a cast piece
-the other side is identical but, no hole/#1

Weight for curtains, grandmother use to keep them in the button box.. Have heard that they were also sewed in the hem of skirts to keep them from blowing up
