Mike & Ray's Excellent Adventure!

Saturday myself and my hunting partner Ray hunted one of the many parks in San Francisco. Ray dug up 4 wheat pennies, that's the most he ever found in one day! All his wheats were in that 5 to 6 inch in depth. Ray who just started metal detecting found his first piece of gold! What a way to start! Ray received a zinc penny reading on his Teknetics Delta meter at 5 inches deep. Out pops a 24K Chinese gold pendant! It weighs 10.2 grams! That's $600.00 in gold! On our way home I asked Ray if I could scan it on my scanner and post it on treasurenet, he said sure! See pics below! Ray had a smile on his face the whole drive home!

I managed 6 wheat pennies and a silver dime, so Ray was the big winner today!

Re: Mike & Ray's Excellent Adventure!

I'd say you both had a good day  No work, out in the fresh air & doing something you enjoy. Does it get any better than that?! The finds are just the icing on the cake we call treasure hunting :icon_sunny: Good spots you have there. Go back & hit them HARD :laughing7:

P.S. - I see you're a Fisher guy. Me too :headbang: I have the CZ-3D & LOVE it. Which is your favorite Fisher unit & why?

It's the original CZ6 that I purchased back in 1994! Still going strong! It just goes deep! I just prefer analog over digital. No EMI, super stable, meter locks on without all the bouncing numbers. :)
