MEDAL* not medals.... Well a 2 hour hunt, found just 2 wheats and some clad, a Boy Scout neckerchief, and then this..... It rang up like a silver quarter and was down about 9 inches.
From what I've found so far it originated in 1940 or 1941, and was given out for 3 years of service if there was not a war currently but after 1 year If there was. But they started giving them out again in 1987 according to what I read. I heard from another detectorist that he found the same thing, but had a soldiers name on the back, which this one sadly doesn't. If anyone has any more info it would be great
